Where are gift cards accepted? Over 50 businesses accept the Downtown Rapid City Gift Card! Please see list here.

Where can I buy a gift card? Here at downtownrapidcity.org or at the Main Street Square Office. We are located at 512 Main Street Suite 240, Rapid City, SD on the second floor of the Shops at Main Street Square building.

What is the shipping/activation fee? Shipping costs $7 per order plus $1 per card. This fee includes shipping, handling, and activation of the gift card. This helps us keep the program low cost for small businesses. *Any gift card purchased in person with a credit card will have a fee of 5% of the purchase + $1 per card. If you are paying with cash, there will be no 5% processing fee. Checks are no longer accepted as payment.

Can I place large quantity orders? For multiple cards, please call our office at 605-716-7979 or email destiny@downtownrc.org for information on reduced fees.

Where can I check the balance of my gift card? You can check your balance at getmybalance.com or calling 1-833-558-1088.

Know your balance before making a purchase. Cards may only be ran for no more than the balance or the card will be declined. This means if your purchase exceeds your card balance, the establishment will need to run a split tender transaction. They will take the remaining balance off your gift card and then the rest of the payment will go on another form of payment.

You cannot tip on the gift card. Any tip given to your waiter must be on another form of payment.

Examples of situations where we may be unable to do a transfer include:

• No customer information was given at time of purchase or was not registered on getmybalance.com

• It was under a bulk company order and customer did not keep a record of the card number.

• If the balance on the card is less than the transfer fee.

I am at a participating business but my card is not working. There are a couple of situations where this may arise. Please try/ask the following and if these do not work, call our office at 605-716-7979.

• Verify your balance. You can check your balance at getmybalance.com or by calling 1-833-558-1088.

• Ask if the merchant has a new Point of Sale System. If so, Main Street Square will need to update that information with EML Payments before the purchase may be processed.
